If a module has prerequisites enabled, learners will need to have completed the required modules before they can access it.

To set prerequisites for a module, navigate to the course that contains it and click on the Edit button in the Course Content tab.

Next, click on the Module Prerequisites tab. The Static Prerequisite option lets you select the modules that are specifically required. A learner will need to complete all of them in order to gain access to the material.

If users have the option to choose only a certain number of them, such as needing to complete three out of four selected modules, use the Dynamic Prerequisite option. After selecting the required modules, enter the number that they need to complete in the text field.

Once you're done, click on the Save Prerequisites button at the bottom of your page.
