The SkyPrep Studio feature allows you to add branching forms and assessments to your courses. For instructions on creating a new Studio Document, you can click here.

Once in your Studio Document, select the Branch Form Content Block from the side panel and click on Create a Form Block.

Give the form a name and click on Add Question to Start.

On the next panel, you can start building out the form.

  1. Question: Use this field to enter the question that the Learner will be answering.

  2. Attach Question Image: Allows you to attach an image to the question if required.

  3. Question Type: Toggle between Multiple Choice, which is shown here, or Text Input, which will be explained in the next section.

  4. Multiple Choice Option: Use this field to enter an option that the Learner can select if the question type is Multiple Choice.

  5. Question Behavior: Determines what happens when the question is answered. You can choose from Proceed to Next Question, Jump to Another Question, and End Form.

    1. Proceed to Next Question: If answered, the user will be taken to the next question in the form.

    2. Jump to Another Question: If answered, the user will be taken to the question number specified, allowing the form order and contents to change dynamically based on the answers.

    3. End Form: If answered, the form will be considered complete. This is also the behavior of the last question in the form if Proceed to Next Question is selected.

  6. Feedback: Text feedback that is shown to the user after they select this answer.

  7. Delete: Deleted the selected answer option.

  8. Add Option: Adds an additional answer option.

If Text Input was selected, the panel will look like this instead.

Rather than selecting predefined options, Text Input allows Learners to enter the answers themselves. To configure a Text Input question, enter the word(s) that Learners should enter in the TEXT ENTERED IS field. If there are multiple correct options/variations, you can separate acceptable answers with a comma. For example, you can enter "red, white" and both "red" and "white" will be accepted.

After entering the text, you can choose the behavior of the question by selecting from Proceed to Next Question, Jump to Another Question, and End Form just like you can with Multiple Choice, as well as opt to provide Feedback.

Clicking Add Branching Option will add another TEXT ENTERED IS field, allowing you to take Learners down multiple paths based on their answer.

You can also define what happens when a non-supported answer is given with the ALL OTHER CASES menu, which also lets you choose from Proceed to Next Question, Jump to Another Question, and End Form.

To view Learner responses, you can click on the Review Learner Attempts button in your document.

Alternatively, you can click on Required Grading in the Studio section of your platform.
