When running a progress report on either Courses or Studio documents, there are some key terms that you'll need to know in order to fully understand the report. This document explains the most important ones and will allow you to gain the necessary insights into your training.

Course Progress Report Columns

  1. Course Progress Status: Shows the users' overall progress in the Course. This can be Passed, Failed, In-Progress, Archived, Not Applicable or Not Started.

  2. Status Reason: If the status is set to Not Applicable, this will show the reason.

  3. Average Assessment Score: Shows the average score they received across all assessment attempts. This average includes all assessments, as well as all attempts if the assessments have multiple attempts enabled.

  4. Time Spent on Modules: The total time spent across all non-assessment modules. This includes time spent with modules open but inactive (different tab, hidden window, etc.).

  5. Total Time Spent in Course: The total time spent across all modules, including assessments. This only counts active modules that a user is currently viewing.

  6. Start Date: The date that the user started the course.

  7. Completion Date: The date that the user completed the course.

  8. Deadline Date: The date that the user must complete the course by. It will be considered overdue if not completed by this date.

  9. Expiration Date: The date that their course completion is valid until. This is the day they will be reenrolled unless the course has an Early Reenrollment Window set.

  10. Custom Course Progress Properties: If your course has Custom Course Properties enabled, they will be displayed if this option is enabled.

  11. Course Items: Displays all modules in a course, along with their individual completion statuses.

  12. Is Enrolled in Course: A user's records are maintained even if they are unenrolled. This column shows whether they are currently enrolled or if you're looking at a historical record.

  13. Is Current: If a user has multiple reenrollments in the same course, the most recent one is the "Current" one.

  14. Course Status: Displays whether the course is Active or Inactive.
