You can opt to have user accounts only able to log in within a customizable time period. By utilizing this feature, you'll be able to set a window of time in which the user is able to log in β they will not be able to log in outside of this window. This is especially useful if you have any external training or sell courses/subscriptions.
This feature is disabled by default. To gain access, simply let us know that you want it turned on by clicking on the Help Button in the bottom-right corner of your screen, then on Send us a Message.
To access the feature, click on the Settings button in the upper-right and then on System Configuration.
Navigate to the Custom Labels tab.
Scroll down until you see Access Start Date and Access End Date. Enable both fields using the Checkboxes.
To set a user's login window, click on Users & Groups then on Users. Next, click on the Edit button beside the user.
Scroll down until you see Access Start Date and Access End Date. Use the calendar date picker to set the login window, then click Update User.
If a user attempts to log in outside of the login window, they'll see a message on the login screen stating either: This account may not log-in. Access not started or This account may not log-in. Access expired.
The dates can also be set in bulk using the CSV Bulk Upload and Bulk Update features. Simply add access_start_date and access_end_date as new columns and fill them in accordingly using yyyy-mm-dd format.
This feature is separate from the setting used to Disable Accounts. If you want users to be disabled after their login window expires, contact us using the same method shown at the top of this article. Note that if you want to re-enable users, you will need to update their login status using the steps shown here as well as remove/update their Access End Date setting β failure to do so will result in the user being disabled again.
